At WhiteNoise Media headquarters we are rubbing our hands together and eagerly awaiting one of the most important events of November. Nope, not Bonfire Night! We’re talking about the Manchester Young Talent Awards.

The Manchester Young Talent Awards turn 6 years old on the 17th November, having already had five successful ceremonies filled with smiling young professionals showing the city just how it’s done. For anyone aged 18 – 40 who is a UK resident and working within Manchester, MYTA will blow air horns and scream your name because you’re really great and you’re one of the reasons why Manchester is consistently voted one of the best cities to live in.

In an event packed with so many talented people, it only felt right that we should bring our own expertise to the table and return as official video parter – meaning that all you incredible nominees will be caught on camera. MYTA 2016 will be held at the glorious Imperial War Museum North, and we’ll have ‘That’s Manchester’ TV presenter Gemma Hepworth and local socialite Jsky on our team to help us to navigate through 300 young professionals. We’re also very excited to try the Cappuccino crème brulée we’ve been promised for dessert.

Award categories are:

– Most Promising Young Person in Manchester (Rising Star award – 18 to 26 years only)
– Entrepreneur of the Year
– Finance Professional of the Year
– Legal Professional of the Year
– Talent & Recruiter of the Year
– Marketing/PR Professional of the Year
– Business Development Achievement of the Year
– Digital, Media or Creative Professional of the Year
– Property Professional of the Year
– Team of the Year
– Hospitality Professional of the Year

WhiteNoise will sponsor the Hospitality Professional of the Year award, with shortlisted individuals Deepak Yadav (Chaophraya Restaurants), Jess Cumpstey (Tattu) and Liam Potter (IWM North) competing for the title. Our managing director and founder Lee Holdsworth will be getting on stage to present the award. Give him a cheer!

JCI Manchester is the local branch of Junior Chamber International – a voluntary personal development organisation with over 200,000 members across more than 100 countries. They have been running the Young Talent Awards since 2010, and also motivating young professionals with skill development, networking and recruitment.

JCI Manchester Marketing Director, Bethany Livesey, says: “JCI Manchester has worked with Lee and the team at WhiteNoise now for a couple of years and were thrilled when they agreed to join us again for MYTA16. The team produce superb quality content and always go over and above to get the best shots, thinking outside the box.

At JCI we try to keep the awards less ‘stuffy’ to reflect the dynamic professionals of Manchester, they are great fun as well as a true recognition of talent and the team really capture that in the videography. We can’t wait to see the results of this year and look forward to working with WhiteNoise for the foreseeable future!”

WhiteNoise Managing Director, Lee Holdsworth, says: “WhiteNoise Media are proud to be supporters of this year’s Manchester Young Talent Awards. MYTA allows amazing young talent to be highlighted at forefront of our industry, it’s very important that we support the up and coming generation. Manchester is an amazing place to work and do business in and young people are the future growth of all our businesses.”
